Data We Collect

We collect your username, email, password (stored encrypted), the profile details you choose to add (photo, bio, city, country, age, etc.), and the content you post (questions, answers, messages, hangout requests). For security and fraud prevention we also log your registration IP address.

How We Use It

We use your data solely to operate the platform: to create and display your profile, enable messaging between users, manage credits, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for third-party advertising.

Legal Basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the following GDPR legal bases: performance of a contract (our Terms of Service) to operate your account; your consent for optional cookie-based analytics; and our legitimate interest in security and fraud prevention (for example, logging the IP address).

Sensitive Data

Because this is a dating site, the information you post may reveal data about your sex life or orientation, which the GDPR treats as a special category. By creating your profile and posting content you give your explicit consent for us to process that information in order to provide the service.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep you logged in and to remember your cookie choice. Only with your consent do we also load StatCounter, a third-party analytics tool that uses cookies to measure site traffic. You can accept or decline analytics in the cookie banner; if you decline, it will not load.

Third Parties That Process Your Data

We share data with a small number of providers acting as data processors: StatCounter (web analytics, only with your consent), our email delivery provider for transactional emails, and our video and image hosting provider. Each processes data only on our instructions.

International Transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.

Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data immediately or within 30 days at the latest. Your registration IP address is automatically deleted after 180 days.

Security

Passwords are stored as secure bcrypt hashes. We use HTTPS to encrypt data in transit.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. You can edit your profile at any time, download a copy of your data, or delete your account directly from your account settings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data instantly from your account settings, or request it by email. We process email requests within 30 days at the latest.
